This week we only covered one block to maintain the schedule we already had in place. The block we covered was block 1012 with a total of 72 trees. Out of those 72 trees, 17 of those trees were White Ash trees which again made up the majority of the public trees in this area. Next week we will continue on with blocks 1013 and 1014. The data analysis follows below along with a map of the region.
The above chart of the ten most common species in this block shows that the trend of ash trees making up the majority of public trees in this area continues. White ash trees alone make up 32% of the most common trees in the region. Combined with the Green ash tree percentage of 9%, the ash tree percentage makes up slightly over 40% of all public trees in the area. The Red Maple tree comes in second place with 18.9% probably because of unique aesthetic this tree gives off. The data analysis for all trees cataloged so far follows below.
So far the trees we recorded in total are 350 and 83 of those trees resulted to be White Ash trees and in the top ten most common tree species this tree accounted for 32.3% of this total. The Green Ash tree made up 6.2% of this chart and combined with the White Ash tree percentage, Ash trees make up almost 40% of the most common trees. Next week blocks 1013 and 1014 will become integrated into this data set.
