This week we finally got in touch with the South Orange Commission and laid out a plan for our Senior Capstone Project. The group call with me, Melanie, Professor Knapick, and the South Orange Environmental Commission representatives. Those representatives were Barbara Bour <barbara@principiainc.com> and Joann P Gaughran Speisel <joann.gaughran@gmail.com>. We discussed the logo that Melanie created for them and for the most part they were satisfied with that version of the draft offer minor suggestions to help improve it. Minor suggestions included adding a ring around the image and that the logo would be better suited to put on T-shirts to spread awareness. As for me I created a spreadsheet organizing the specific blocks we would be covering on specific dates.
Above is the spreadsheet with corresponding block numbers to 2010 Census Block Map of South Orange. The areas we will be covering are all blocks in between N / S Wyoming Avenue and N / S Ridgewood Rd. Throughout the coming weeks me and Melanie will be taking inventory of public trees that reside within this region.
